Owner & Clinical Director | Therapist | EMDR Certified
Hello and welcome to Waypoints Counseling! I am a wife, mom, daughter, friend, veteran, therapist, and entrepreneur โ and I love what I do. When you walk into my office, I look for the vision of your possible future and wait patiently for the day when you can not only see it too, but begin to live it out.
I graduated from Kansas State University, followed by Washburn University where I received my Master of Social Work degree. I am an EMDRIA Certified EMDR Therapist and Approved Consultant, trained through The Maiberger Institute. Beyond EMDR, I draw on a range of evidence-based approaches with a holistic lens โ considering you as a whole person in your full environment.
My clinical focus is trauma, attachment, codependency, and identity โ particularly for women who are ready to stop surviving and start reclaiming themselves. I also provide clinical supervision for Licensed Master Social Workers working toward full licensure.

Therapist | Licensed Professional Counselor
Hello! I’m Sharla Knippa, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), and I’m honored to walk alongside individuals and families on their journey toward healing and purpose. Whether you’re facing difficult, confusing, or overwhelming moments, I’m here to provide support, guidance, and encouragement. My goal is to empower you by helping you recognize your strengths and make choices that lead to positive, meaningful change in your life and relationships.
I earned my Master of Arts in Counseling from Wayland Baptist University in 2011 and have since worked in clinical, educational, and private practice settings. I have experience supporting individuals of all ages, from young children to late adulthood, as they navigate a variety of challenges.
I believe transformation begins with the renewal of the mind, and I’m committed to creating a space where you feel heard, valued, and equipped to move forward. Outside of counseling, I love spending time with my family and our dogs, traveling, and playing games.

Hello! My name is Kinsey Weir and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor โ Associate. I know life can be so hard and challenging, and I want you to know you are not alone. It is my passion to be there for my clients and to guide them through the many trials life can bring.
I graduated from Malone University with a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I work individually to address a variety of issues such as anxiety, depression, stress management, life adjustments, grief, coping skills, and behavioral issues. I most often use cognitive behavioral therapy to help clients gain new perspectives, change negative thinking patterns, and improve behaviors and feelings โ while also drawing on other approaches to meet the specific needs of each person.
My goal is to work collaboratively with you, providing a safe and nonjudgmental space to express yourself freely, receive support, and ultimately gain healing and balance. If you want healing, support, new ways of thinking, or even just a listening ear โ it would be my privilege to walk alongside you.
